Posted at 9:58 am on July 2, 2017 by Jay Caruso The New York Times editorial board is not happy that Neil Gorsuch is a Supreme Court justice. Recent SCOTUS rulings have included the latest associate justice to join the court. For whatever reason, instead of doing an in-depth look at how he ruled in these decisions, the Times decided instead to devote much of the time blubbering about Merrick Garland. To wit: What’s particularly galling here is the language.

His solid, proven leadership in the state of Wisconsin is exactly the type of thing we need on the national stage. But that didn’t happen. The country wanted something else, and Scott Walker is too regular, principled, and composed for their liking. His history doesn’t include explosive tweets or primetime, reality show television spots.

Posted at 6:30 pm on July 2, 2017 by Susan Wright It’s been higher, actually. A new Gallup daily tracking poll doesn’t look good for President Trump, as far as the impression he’s giving the American people. According to the poll, Trump is about to hit 60 percent disapproval with U.S. voters. I suppose 37 percent approval is better than the 35 percent approval he had in late March. Progress? It took George W.

It may also surprise a lot of people that one can simultaneously think Trump’s tweeting a GIF depicting him

President Trump's recent tweet about Amazon is putting the issue of online sales taxes back in the spotlight. In a tweet Wednesday criticizing the Washington Post, which is owned by Amazon founder Jeff Bezos, Trump called the publication "the guardian of Amazon not paying internet taxes (which they should)." It's unclear exactly what Trump meant by "internet taxes." Amazon in April started collecting sales taxes on purchases in every state that levies a sales tax.

“All persons born or naturalized in the United States… are citizens of the United States…” 14th Amendment to the United States Constitution There are many Americans that do not believe in the Constitution of the United States and the 14th Amendment particularly draws their disdain. For more than a century-and-a-half these people have convinced congress to withhold or cancel citizenship or to deport people for little reason.   Anti-immigrant people have been with us since the beginning.
