BREAKING: Hospital Releases First Update on Scalise in 24 Hours

Media had earlier confirmed that Scalise had undergone another surgery today and President Trump had indicated this morning that Scalise was in more danger than previously thought. MedStar Washington Hospital Center has finally issued a new update, and they have some good news. Let’s hope that there are many more reports of him improving!

Here is the release, courtesy reporter Jamie Dupree. The memo announces the rescinding of DAPA, along with canceling an expanded version of Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals, which had granted an extended work authorization of three years, versus the two years DACA’s original plan granted.

Democrats soundly defeated the GOP in the annual Congressional Baseball Game Thursday night 11-2, but the score wasn’t the focus of the game that evening. Democrats and Republicans both talked about the importance of unity throughout the game, which took place one day after a gunman opened fire at a GOP baseball practice, injuring five including House Majority Whip Steve Scalise (R-La.). The Democrats gave the GOP their trophy to keep in Scalise’s office during his recovery.

Alex Jones on Thursday released secretly-taped audio of his interview with Megyn Kelly three days before the official airing was supposed to occur on NBC.  Jones, a conspiracy theorist and Infowars founder, offered a preview of what was going to be released in a 2-minute, 20-second video clip that appears to include off-the-record conversation with the former Fox News host in Kelly. The interview is set to air Sunday. "I've never done this in 22 years, I've never recorded another journalist," Jones said in a Twitter video.

The Justice Department issued a statement Thursday night warning the media and other Americans against believing anonymous sources, and warning that the Justice Department doesn't confirm statements from unnamed officials. Democrats won the annual Congressional baseball game Thursday night, but this year the focus of the charity event had nothing to do with winners or losers. The game has been played almost every year since 1909, but Thursday’s contest held an extra layer of significance: A day earlier, a gunman had stalked the suburban baseball field where members of the Republican team were practicing.
