A federal judge in Oregon said Tuesday he would block the Trump administration from enforcing a ban on abortion referrals at federally-funded family planning clinics. U.S. District Judge Michael McShane, who was appointed by former President Obama, said late Tuesday he would grant a preliminary injunction in a lawsuit filed against the Trump administration by Planned Parenthood and the American Medical Association.

House Democrats have zeroed in on former White House counsel Don McGahn — a witness whose testimony could antagonize MORE’s report. The House Judiciary Committee has demanded that McGahn appear in a public hearing before it on May 21, which would give Democrats an opportunity to draw out unflattering details about Trump and his White House. McGahn is viewed as a key witness who could shed light on obstruction of justice allegations against Trump.

Speaker MORE could have the paradoxical effect of building support for that very step. Pelosi and Democratic leaders this week launched a series of aggressive investigations into the myriad allegations facing the president, many stemming from special counsel MORE's recently released report on Russia's 2016 election interference. The strategy is designed, in part, to dampen the growing calls for impeachment — a move Pelosi considers premature — by assuring her troops that party leaders have no intention of letting Trump off the hook.

The freshman congresswoman said at a town hall in New York City last week about the VA: “If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it.” “The idea that this thing that isn’t broken, this thing that provides the highest quality care to our veterans somehow needs to be fixed, optimized, tinkered with until you don’t even recognize it anymore,” she added. Her comments that the VA was not broken contrasted with reports of veterans taking their lives in the parking lots of the VA after receiving inadequate care. Nineteen veterans killed themselves at VA facilities between October 2017 and November 2018, accordin

“We have a lot of objectives … Number one, he wants to protect American wages,” Kushner said as he briefly described an immigration reform plan which he will present to the president in the next two weeks. Kushner’s tied Trump top-level support for Americans’ wages to Trump’s other policies that help American investors and CEOs also reach their objectives: Kushner’s strategic combination of wages and competitiveness could be the political bargain which preserves the GOP coalition amid chaotic diversity, alienated young voters, and global competition for jobs. That GOP coalition was broken by

In a CNN town hall this week, Sanders endorsed allowing all convicted U.S. citizens — regardless of their crime — to vote from prison. “So, I believe people who commit crimes, they pay the price and they get out of jail, they certainly should have the right to vote,” Sanders said. “But, I believe even if they are in jail, they’re paying the price to society, but that should not take away their inherent American right to participate in our democracy.” Sen.

WASHINGTON (AP) — Answering perhaps the most significant question of the early 2020 election season, former Vice President Joe Biden will launch his presidential campaign on Thursday. The move, confirmed by a person familiar with his plans, sets up the 76-year-old lifelong politician as a front-runner in the crowded Democratic contest as the party fights to determine who’s best positioned to defeat President Donald Trump next year . Biden, who spent the last five decades in Washington but never lost touch with his working-class background, is scheduled to face union workers in Pittsburgh on Mo
