House Democrats say there's little to no chance that Congress will take up MORE's replacement for the North American Free Trade Agreement (NAFTA) before the end of summer.  With only three more weeks scheduled to be in session before the August recess, House Democrats from across the spectrum are demanding that the trade pact with Mexico and Canada be renegotiated, citing concerns with the implications for labor and environmental standards as well as drug prices.  The Trump administration has been pushing for approval of the deal, known as the U.S.-Mexico-Canada Agree

Plaintiffs in a lawsuit against the Department of Commerce over the 2020 census are asking a federal court to block the Trump administration from delaying the printing of census forms or changing them to include a citizenship question.  The American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU) filed the motion Friday with the state of New York and other groups seeking to block the citizenship question from being added. The Supreme Court blocked the citizenship question last week, ruling the administration’s argument that the query is necessary to enforce the Voting Rights Act was unsatisfactory.

Justice Department lawyers told a federal judge Friday that the Trump administration is reviewing “all available options” for adding a controversial citizenship question to the 2020 census after the Supreme Court blocked the query’s inclusion last week. “The Departments of Justice (DOJ) and Commerce have been asked to reevaluate all available options following the Supreme Court’s decision and whether the Supreme Court’s decision would allow for a new decision to include the citizenship question on the 2020 Decennial Census,” Justice Department lawyers wrote in a filing Friday. “In the event th

A new jobs report that said the economy added a better-than-expected 224,000 jobs in June delivered good news on Friday for MORE, solidifying the sense that economic growth will be a source of strength for his reelection bid next year. There was little bad news in the report, which showed job growth in manufacturing, construction and other sectors, as well as a slight increase in wages. After the economy added just 75,000 jobs in May — a number downgraded on Friday to 72,0000 — there were widespread concerns that the economy might be sliding back and that a recession

She “fired three shots,” one of which would have hit the active shooter in the forehead had the scenario been real life. Miramontes received praise from the officer nearby.

Artist Ales “Maxi” Zupevc sculpted the wooden monument, abstractly depicting Mrs. Trump in her custom Ralph Lauren powder blue ensemble that she wore for President Trump’s inauguration in January 2017. Mrs. Trump’s skirt suit, the first outfit she wore as first lady, harked back to one of the country’s most famous first ladies, Jacqueline Kennedy, and her wardrobe that epitomized the early 1960s. The monument is set in the fields of Sevnica, the hometown of Mrs. Trump.
