Article snippet: Author Stephen King blasted President Trump’s tax reform plan Thursday, saying Trump “couldn’t give [a] s---” about “the working man.” “Trump's no friend of the working man. If you're working for wages, brothers and sisters, he couldn't give S--t One about you,” King tweeted. “Check his tax plan. Same old same old. The fat man's busy dancing while the poor man pays the band.”  Trump unveiled his tax reform plan Wednesday, which calls for three individual tax rates of 12 percent, 25 percent and 35 percent. The plan also lowers the corporate rate from 35 percent to 20 percent and nearly doubles the standard deduction while repealing the estate tax and the alternative minimum tax. Democrats blasted the plan, with Sen. MORE (I-Vt.) calling the plan “morally repugnant.” "It seems that President Trump and Republicans have designed their plan to be cheered in the country clubs and the corporate boardrooms," Schumer said from the Senate floor, adding that the plan should be called “wealth-fare.” King, a frequent critic of Trump, has previously said one Trump’s recent tweets is evidence of a “f---ed up mind.” The Hill 1625 K Street, NW Suite 900 Washington DC 20006 | 202-628-8500 tel | 202-628-8503 fax The contents of this site are ©2017 Capitol Hill Publishing Corp., a subsidiary of News Communications, Inc.
