According to the Washington Post,as the House minority leader tried to answer a question Commerce Secretary Wilbur Ross asked about what their side would receive in the deal, those at the table began talking over her. As the only woman at the meeting, Pelosi reportedly spoke up: “Do the women get to talk around here?” she asked, according to the Post. Pelosi apparently made her point: The interruption ceased, and it didn’t happen again. Meanwhile, details remained murky about what might have been agreed to as a deadline to replace DACA looms. President Trump announced earlier this month that he plans to phase out the program created by former President Obama that protects young people brought into the country illegally as children from deportation and allows them to work.
