Oh, that sounds like fun,” Clooney said, according to a report in Variety. Fellow actor and Trump critic Matt Damon reportedly interjected, “Can I just say that I’d like anybody to be the next president of the United States. Right away, please.” While Clooney, who supported MORE in the 2016 election, is not likely to launch a bid for the Oval Office anytime soon, he has not shied away from ripping Trump in the past.   Clooney argued before the 2016 election that Trump would not be president, saying, "Fear is not something that drives out country. We’re not going to be scared of Muslims or immigrants or women. We’re not actually afraid of anything, so we are not going to use fear. It’s not going to be an issue.” The actor ripped Trump and his then-chief strategist Stephen Bannon in February, calling the president a "demagogue" and Bannon "a failed film writer and director."
