Article snippet: "Late Show" host Stephen Colbert poked fun at President Trump on Thursday after Trump suggested that his promise that North Korea would face "fire and fury" wasn't tough enough, questioning what could possibly be tougher. "I'd like to go on the record, I do not want the Earth to blow up," Colbert began. "That's where my house is." "But here's why I'm getting a little nervous," he went on. "Things are getting uh...tense? Between working on a plan to attack the island territory of Guam. "But maybe not 'fire and fury the likes of which the world had never seen,' he added, doing an impression of Trump.   He then went on to question Trump's remarks Thursday in which he said that his "fire and fury" promise may not have been "tough enough." “Frankly, the people who were questioning that statement, was it too tough? Maybe it wasn’t tough enough,” Trump said Thursday. Colbert pounced on the remark: “What is tougher than ‘fire and fury?'” he asked. “Lava and rage? A paper cut and a lemon?” Playing a video of a reporter questioning Trump on what he meant, Colbert mocked Trump's response of "we'll see." “We’ll see?” Colbert shot back. “I know we’ll see, but it might be the last thing we see!” The Hill 1625 K Street, NW Suite 900 Washington DC 20006 | 202-628-8500 tel | 202-628-8503 fax The contents of this site are ©2017 Capitol Hill Publishing Corp., a subsidiary of News Communications, Inc.
