Article snippet: Former Vice President Fox Business report. Biden reportedly scolded the financier at the SkyBridge Alternatives (SALT) Conference in May, the same event where Biden said he "never thought" Sources told The Hill that Biden regrets not running for president in 2016. UPDATE: A subsequent report on the meeting published June 26 by New York Magazine disputes Fox's account of the dinner. Citing four people who were at the event, the report states that Biden called Ackman a "wiseass" after the investor tried to "lighten the mood" with a joke. "Do you want to take this outside?” Biden reportedly replied. Ackman and others at the dinner thought the vice president was joking, according to New York Magazine. Biden's comments at the dinner about not running for president because of his son's death were separate from that exchange with Ackman, according to the report.  The sources told the magazine that Biden did not say, “never disrespect my dead son” to Ackman.  The Hill 1625 K Street, NW Suite 900 Washington DC 20006 | 202-628-8500 tel | 202-628-8503 fax The contents of this site are ©2017 Capitol Hill Publishing Corp., a subsidiary of News Communications, Inc.
