Article snippet: Alaska Senator MORE (R) said “there is a good nucleus of people” from both parties working on healthcare reform. “I have been in communication with colleagues on the other side of the aisle about our opportunities as lawmakers to come up with healthcare reform that’s actually going to make a difference for us in terms of reducing costs and increasing access,” Murkowski told The Washington Post Friday. “They’ve been good conversations, and those are going to continue,” she said. When asked who she had been in contact with on the bill, Murkowski only said that “there is a good nucleus of people” working on the healthcare reform.  The GOP Senate leadership delayed a vote on the bill to overhaul Obamacare until after the 4th of July recess due to lack of support from both parties.  Republicans are trying to move legislation through the Senate that would repeal and replace ObamaCare, but they face opposition from within their own party. McConnell is using fast-track budget rules for the legislation that prevent a filibuster from Democrats. If the legislation is put aside, Republicans would need to negotiate a deal with Democrats on stabilizing insurance markets.
