McDaniel’s tweet linked to a full statement responding to the Washington Post story. She denied the accusations against Trump in the statement, saying, “the continued illegal leaks are the only crime here.” Lieu has been an outspoken critic of Trump, saying the Trump administration has an "incredible disrespect for the rule of law" and mocking Trump’s reported conversations with Comey on Twitter.
