Pressed by Tapper as to whether or not he was fired, Shulkin said: “I did not resign." His comments contradict a statement from White House deputy press secretary Lindsay Walters published by Politico on Saturday. "Secretary Shulkin resigned from his position as Secretary of the Department of Veterans Affairs," the statement said.
